The latest issue of Seeker, the magazine from the Geocaching Association of Great Britain (GAGB), is out with articles from two of the visiting teams who attended the ManxCacheFest with their families. There’s lots of other interesting articles in there too. Here is the link: SEEKER26
It is the essence of the hobby of geocaching that Cache Owners and Event Organisers place geocaches and hold events for free and for the enjoyment of others. Even the large MEGA events are operated by volunteers who put in the time and effort and even their own cash to make events and their associated geocaches a success.
Any personal monetary gain made from these activities in our opinion is morally wrong and so is the exploitation of others in order to make personal gain or profit.
Manx Geocaching is a non-profit Community blog & Facebook page.
Manx Geocaching hereby gives notice that Dr. Terry Marsh a.k.a. Countrymatters, the “Project Co-ordinator” of the ManxCacheFest 2015, has been excluded from our Social Media accounts and we wish to stress that we are not in any way associated with him.
The ManxCacheFest came to a close last evening after a hectic week of interesting events. We would like to say a big thank you to all the local team for all their efforts.
We also want to thank all the wonderful people that came to the events, many of whom had travelled from afar. You are a wonderful bunch of people and we are pleased to have met you and hope to see you again at future events.
Your generosity has helped us to raise £130 for the Willow Mann charities and £135 to the North Wales Mega 2016. Thank you.
We are off to recharge our batteries and maybe do a little caching ourselves.
Love and best wishes to you all!
